Visio International has collaborated with a wide range of organizations in research, training, knowledge exchange and materials development. Below are the major projects we have contributed to since 2013.
3D4VIP
The 3D4VIP project developed guidelines for printing and designing 3D materials for visually impaired students and a database to provide educators with 3D models that enhance and support the learning experience of visually impaired students.
Smile Too
SMILE too developed a training programme for parents and professionals to improve the social skills and autonomy of visually impaired and blind primary and secondary schoolchildren.
iExpress II
iExpress II developed a toolkit to measure the ICT skills of children with multiple disabilities and visual impairment, and to discern their ability to use assistive technologies.
Euromath
EuroMath developed approaches for teaching mathematics to students with visual impairments.
UBIS, Universal Information Containers for Blind and Visually Impaired Students
The UBIS project created 3D printing models and guidelines for teachers on how to use 3D printing in teaching people with visual impairments.
SensNet
SensNet developed trainings for staff working with elderly people with vision and hearing loss.
Educare
Educare brought together professionals to exchange experiences on how to deal with behavioural problems of people with visual impairment and multiple disabilities.
Tempus IV: Curriculum and Skill Development in Vision Rehabilitation
The Tempus project improved services for people with visual impairment in Jordan and the West Bank.
Cerebral Visual Impairment
The CVI project gathered experiences and expertise on cerebral visual impairment and developed tools and protocols to improve support for children with this condition.
